My introduction to Mike was through seminars in New mexico, Seattle, and Texas. I was floored when I saw this small guy move. Everything was connected, powerful, and the intent was there. When he applied an Chin-Na, it was soft, controlled from the Dan-tien, and with such ease. I knew I came upon somebody really special. Mike was gracious to come train us in Texas this March. Mike stayed with my wife and I during the training. He cooked a great Italian meal for my wife when she was sad because of losing a pet. Mike had a calmness around animals and they loved him. Photography!! Don’t get me going on this. Ok. He took pictures of everything, pets, cats, cactus, you name it. During a lightning storm he was running around outside like a little kid. I finally got him in with some fresh tea.
He got me to not think so western, and believe that anything was possible. He proved it to me by various exercises of standing training and sitting breathing. We all learned so much.
Mike was so proud talking about family and friends. It’s just that look he gave you. so proud of New York. Mike talked about his teacher in Taiwan and how he was guided Mike to his martial goals. I hope everybody keeps training in the lessons he taught. Probably the most dedicated person I ever met. My Condolences to his family and friends.
